Inspired interior design ideas

I have always had a passion for interior design. As a young girl, I spent the day with a local interior designer. We met with her clients, visited showrooms and made selections for her design projects. Stepping into her studio I watched as inspired ideas became beautiful living areas. That experience seeded my love for design and answered the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”

At the beginning of my career, I had the privilege of working for the same design firm. After an educational and fulfilling 10 years with top interior designers in Portland, I opened my own studio, Gilyn McKelligon Interiors, in 2005.

I am always looking for new furniture, fabrics and other unique finds that transform a room into a treasured space. My clients benefit from my close relationships with vendors, a library of rich fabrics from around the world and access to exceptional antiques and one-of-a-kind accessories.

My goal is to create a personal environment that accommodates both the aesthetic preferences and practical needs of my clients. I work comfortably within all styles. Recent projects include a Dunthrope Traditional, Lake Oswego Classic and a Pearl District Condominium.
